Matt is the co-founder and executive director of Stone Ridge Ventures – one of Australia’s leading technology venture capital firms.
Matt has been the co-founder of a number of venture capital backed companies and also has unique experience in the listed company environment with technology commercialization and intellectual property activities. Matt was the founding CEO of Dimerix Bioscience and Cortec Systems (now known as Xelor Software) both of which were backed by Foundation Capital and other venture capital funds. Matt is also the founding CEO of US nanotechnology company iCeutica Inc in the pharmaceuticals reformulation area, and has successfully completed multi-million dollar transactions with Copenhagen based Nordic Biotech and US company Iroko Pharmceuticals.
Matt was formerly the General Manager of listed technology commercialization company QPSX Limited (now Ipernica) with responsibility for the company’s global patent assertion activities as well as venture incubation. In 2002, Matt was awarded an inaugural Business News ‘40 under 40’ award.
