Intellection releases iDiscover™ 4.2 mineral analysis software

Intellection is pleased to announce the release of version 4.2 of its iDiscover™ integrated mineral measurement and analysis software.

From 3 March 2008, all new QEMSCAN® solutions will include this upgraded version of the software suite, which both controls the operation of the QEMSCAN® e-beam measurement hardware (iMeasure module), and analyses and reports the data (iExplorer module).

The upgrade is also available to customers currently operating QEMSCAN® on iDiscover™ version 4.1, either automatically via subscription, or by placing an order with Intellection Customer Support.

Advances offered by iDiscover™ 4.2 include increased stability, automation, and integration as well as the expansion of report capabilities.

“As promised at the iUG07 User Group Conference, we have listened carefully, and many of the updates in iDiscover™ 4.2 are based on customer feedback,” Intellection CEO Calvin Treacy said. “We also have internal technology development programs which continue to evolve QEMSCAN® solutions as a whole.”

Key areas of improvement include:

Easier to use – with more streamlined menus, and greater consistency in the user interface
New SIP Editor functionality
Ability to view BSE images alongside QEMSCAN images

Intellection has also developed an updated training program for iDiscover™ 4.2, which will form part of all future QEMSCAN® training packages.
